Frederick R. Sindt Everest Award
Originating in 1988, the Frederick R. Sindt Everest Award is presented to a dedicated member of the Pikes Peak region who has “gone above and beyond the normal standard of community service.” This award is given on a periodic basis for outstanding achievement. The original award is on display at the Colorado Springs World Arena.
The Frederick R. Snidt Everest Award was first given to Fred Sindt prior to his death in 1999 for his accomplishments in advertising and community service. Fred was also advertising and public relations director for the Broadmoor for 17 years prior to opening his own agency. He was a founding member and past president of the Pikes Peak Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. He was awarded the Pikes Peak Advertising Federation’s Silver Medal and the Press Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award. He graduated from Iowa State University and served in the United States Army.
